{ENDED} Share & Scare: Plow & Hearth Review & Giveaway

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Review & Giveaway
(Open to US & Canada)
Plow & Hearth was founded in 1980 as a little country store, and has grown over the years into a well-known retailer of products for the home, hearth, yard and garden. Quality products, great prices, excellent customer service!
Plow & Hearth has some great Halloween products that would be a spook-tacular addition to your Halloween decor. I was lucky to have the chance to review the Spooky Spider Pumpkin Holders (set of 2; $16.95). Love the concept! We have a pumpkin carving party every year…and some years we have extra pumpkins that don’t get carved. What a great solution for un-carved pumpkins!
I took the holders to Vons with me so I could find the perfect pumpkins to fit & make the scariest spiders. As some of you know, I live in a small mountain community, so my pumpkin selection was not what I was hoping it would be (at least until the elementary school opens up their pumpkin patch in a week or so). I did find the cutest little pumpkin to fit into the small holder…but the larger holder was more difficult. All the pumpkins Vons had were just too big. Thank goodness for cell phones, I took a photo just so you could see what the large spider holder looks like with a pumpkin.
My son got a kick out of putting the small pumpkin into the holder and “making” a spider. He said it was “spooky” and laughed. Ahhhh, the things kids say that put a smile on our face.
Thanks to Plow & Hearth, I am getting into the Halloween Spirit. I will be decorating the rest of the house this weekend…and probably shopping for more Halloween decorations on their website!

{ENDED} Share & Scare: Safe Kids Reflectors Review & Giveaway

Review & Giveaway

Keep your kids safe this Halloween

Halloween night is one of the worst nights during the year for accidents in the dark…between Trick-or-Treating & parties, children & parents need to be safe! Please provide your children with reflectors for their costumes, shoes, sneakers or outerwear. Help make them be visible in the dark!

Did you know that 69% of all pedestrian and cycling accidents occur in the dark (as reported by the National Highway Safety Agency). Wearing white is not enough…with the use of a reflective tag, your child (or adult) would be visible in the dark up to 500 feet away

BE SAFE…BE SEEN!

Wear or carry a reflector this Halloween!
(You would be safer to at any time of night with a reflector!)

offered me a pumpkin & ghost reflector tag to review. I was happy to get these 2 reflectors for my kids to wear on Halloween night. We will be Trick-or-Treating at my parent’s house…and there are always cars driving up and down their street. What better way to keep them safe, but with a super cute Halloween reflector tags!

Safe Kids Reflectors offers tons of different styles & colors.

{ENDED} Share & Scare: BabyLegs Review & Giveaway

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Review & Giveaway
(US only)

Trick-or-Treat this year with BabyLegs!
A perfect way to spice up any costume…
and keep your little ones warm on a
cool Halloween night!

 BabyLegs Legwarmers
They are a fun way for your children to express their unique style!
Wear them on your arms or legs…it’s YOUR choice!
They can make diaper changes & potty training EASIER!

They protect knees from harsh surfaces when crawling!

They are a great addition to your diaper bag for an easy layer to pull on for extra warmth!

BabyLegs became a leader in children’s fashion when they created leg and arm warmers back in 2005. A perfect addition to the baby clothing industry. In 2009, they introduced socks, tights and footless tights into their collection.

One mom + one need = one spectacular creation!
We can thank Nicole Donnelly for the creation of BabyLegs.
Nicole, a professional snowboarder turned Stay-At-Home Mom, developed BabyLegs as a way to allow her daughter, Sara, a chance to air out between diaper changes…allowing her legs to stay warm and diaper rashes to disappear!

BabyLegs sent me 3 leg warmers (Ghostly, Pow! and Bees Bumbling), knee highs (Dancing Queen), and socks (Kinetics). I couldn’t wait to have my kids try them on.
This is not the first time my kids have sported BabyLegs…Logan has the Train Legwarmers + socks & Kira has numerous leggings…and they both wear them all the time! Logan will wear the Train Legwarmers on his arms. They were just the right addition to our after swimming attire!
How do your kids wear their BabyLegs?

Logan’s new socks:

Size 2T-4T…these are going to get a lot of use!

Kira’s new look:

Size 12-24 month; perfect fit!

Perfect for diaper changes:

One size fits most…and both kids can wear them!

BabyLegs are cool for girls & boys of all ages.

{ENDED} Share & Scare: HalloweenExpress.com Review & Giveaway

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Review & Giveaway
(US only)

So what are you going to be this Halloween?
It was difficult deciding what the kids should be for Halloween. At first our son was going to be a conductor or engineer and our daughter was going to be Snow White or Tinkerbell…but finally, we agreed…we are all going to be Pirates and raid the neighbors for treasure…Argh!

Below you can see the booty I received from
www.HalloweenExpress.com!

They have tons of pirate accessories to choose from! I had a hard time deciding what items to review…so I got a little of every thing. I got a pirate telescope, pirate dagger, Pirate Princess Costume (size 12-18 month), The 13th Hour Halloween CD & fishnet tights (for me…had to spice up my costume)

My son has claimed the pirate telescope & dagger (though he calls it his sword). I’m fine with him playing with the telescope & dagger, but we have rules: If you point the toy at anyone, then the toy is GONE! The telescope is actually really cool…it expands to 11.5″. My son was playing outside on his “pirate ship” and searching for treasure. He used the telescope to find our dogs & defended his ship yelling at the cats and waving his dagger.  It’s amazing what imaginations kids have…creating a whole world around them…playing without a care…oh to be a three year old again.

Reminder to parents, these are props & may break if child plays rough with them.

This pirate costume was received for my Costume Discounters Review coming soon.

Here is my precious Infant Pirate Princess…

A face only a mother could love…naw, you know you love it too!
Costume pros: only $22.99, zipper in back for easy dressing of infant, fits perfectly on my 16 month old daughter, fast shipping, includes hat
Costume cons: hat too small (keeps falling off her head, but that’s not too big of a deal since she wants to take it off every 5 seconds anyways), tie on dress needs to be longer (I was able to tie a double knot, wish I could have tied a bow)

The 13th Hour CD – Filled with 80′s styled horror movie music, gothic orchestration & haunting sound effects…classic background music to get you into the spirit of the holiday. Don’t expect to be dancing to this CD. This CD will be a perfect addition to my families annual pumpkin carving party!

{ENDED} Share & Scare: Elite Bowtique Review & Giveaway

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Elite Bowtique is run by one of my friends, Sara Mesa. I met Sara 3 years ago online on the What To Expect September 2007 boards (just a little shout out to our September babies…you are no longer babies…you are toddlers…oh where did the time go?). After 3 years of chatting, I know Sara is a wonderful, talented person…and I love buying her bows. Kira has numerous “Elite Bowtique” bows…and we will be adding more to her collection with the holidays right around the corner!

Sara is a stay-at-home mom of 2 little monsters (Jayden & Gianna)…who are only 12 months apart! She started making/selling bows in February of 2009. It all started off with selling to close friends, and eventually by word of mouth her “hobby” become her business. At first, all she did was post photos on her personal facebook page for the bows to “TAKE OFF” and sell like crazy! Everyone (included me) kept asking if she had a site where they could purchase her beautiful bows. After numerous compliments from fans (family & friends) of kids wearing her bows,  and after much procrastination, she finally set up an Elite Bowtique FB page!

Sara’s mission is to make the cutest products at reasonably low prices. She believes everyone, regardless of income, should be able to sport the cutest handmade items.
