Review
EIO is a kids cup for mealtime training.
A simple design combining the old with the new.
An old fashion 8 ounce canning jar
+ new EIO caps & sleeves =
a healthy, educational and easy to grip cup
for kids over the age of 2
No spouts to chew or valves to lose!
I love sippy cups, but really when Logan turned 3 years old I was ready for him to transition to a regular cup. Can you say "Disaster!" Yes, giving a toddler a cup without a lid is a little more freedom than he was ready for...SPILL, SPLAT, DISASTER! EIO allows Logan to have a little more freedom, but still protects from some spills (this cup is spill resistant...not spill proof).
EIO is a one of a kind kids cup! If your cup breaks, not to worry...the sleeve & lid will fit on most 8 oz canning jars. The silicone sleeve does protect the glass cup from breakage...but we have to be honest with ourselves, anything that is made of glass can break. Though canning jars are definitely more durable than regular glassware.
Love that these cups do not have valves. EIO cups are easy to clean, dishwasher safe! Some of the valves the sippy cups have come with are tricky to clean and can easily grow mold. YES, mold! I noticed a little green build up on one of Logan's sippy cup valves the other day and immediately tossed it. What a waste...having to throw away sippy cups because you can't clean them properly.
According to the ADA’s recommendations for better dental development, children over the age of one should drink from a cup without a valve. Spouts can also be detrimental, as they tend to become chew toys. EIO encourages a healthy, natural transition to cups.
Both of my kids are notorious for chewing on their sippy cups. It's bad enough that Kira sucks her thumb (which is screwing up her teeth)...but now I have to worry about them grinding down their teeth on their sippy cups...ugh. Thanks to EIO, we have a safe, toddler cup that kids love! Logan prefers his EIO cup over his sippy. It makes him feel like a BIG boy! The EIO cup comes in purple, green & orange...which one would your child like? I'm thinking I need one of each color. You can also mix and match!
You can buy an EIO Kids Cup at these retail locations.
